I was told by the court magistrate's office to contact legal aid. The receptionist that answered the phone's name is Emily and she is completely rude. When I brought this to her attention she hung up on me just proving my point. I don't know who her supervisor is but she needs more training

I really don't need to know all the legal terms over the answering service, such another waste of taxpayers money. Can't believe being on hold for over 15 minutes told 3 times I was #1 in cue and then hung up on. Guess I'll be calling the politicians tomorrow to see if I can get something accomplished, maybe since it's voting time just around the corner.

I get the impression that there are few people that they actually do help. This is a government funded company. IF they help you, they get paid, if they don't help you, they still get paid. Unemployment denied me benefits but I don't have the denial letter. The unemployment website would not allow me to appeal because they kept my case sitting as if it were still pending. After 3 months or so, unemployment closed my case. I had no chance to appeal. The second time I filed, the same thing happened. I have to wait 3 months before the unemployment office closes my case without any recourse. The South Carolina Legal Service said there was nothing they could do because I don't have a denial letter. The legal service doesn't even know why I was denied. Again, my impression is that they took their cue from the unemployment office that is obviously screwing me over and decided I wasn't worth helping. So, for a legal team that is supposed to be able to help, what kind of help could they actually offer if they aren't competent enough to get a copy of a denial letter from the unemployment office? Other than their own, whose side is the South Carolina Legal Service really on?

Attorney Ruined My Case, Broke Attorney Client Confidentiality Unnecessarily Giving Out My Information without My Permission, Causing Me to Acquire Extra Fee's as Well as Being Held Against Me. Lawyers Here Are Just Out of School & Not at All Equipped to Handel Cases That Require Anything Much More Than Just Filing Some Paper Work, as the Maturity Level as Well as the Lack of Curious Professionalism That I Encountered from Everyone in This Establishment is Truly Horrible, Everyone in This World Should Be Entitled to the Same Level & Quality of Representation No Matter What Their Financial Status, Ect.
