I did not like the representation that I received from her ..I Felt that she should have been more aggressive on my behalf In getting the things that she initially told me that she would be seeking and asking for on my behalf.She through me under the bus and agreed with my ex- Attorney and whatever the Judge said .she wasn’t forceful enough seemed to be in this click with the Judge and not my best interest as his spouse and what was due to me after 30 years of investment with my spouse and marriage which he abandoned his family. I was very disappointed on the financial end of my divorce.but how be ever I still know that everything will work out for my good . I Do not and will not be recommending her to anyone peridot ??

Lack of communication. She ask to be dismiss from my case. That’s was suppose to be closed in 2021 but it wasn’t because of all the proper paperwork from the other side wasn’t submit (something my lawyer I paid in full should have made sure was done) so come 2022. The judge scheduled a post conference(that’s how I found out the case wasn’t closed) so 3 court dates later (about 6 months laters) the judge stated that the order would be have to reissue to the other party. So she sent me a bill for 1000 to be paid in a month (I was upfront with her and let her know that she know I’m struggling financial and she know I do not give child support) so I was unable to pay so she sent me an email asking me to release her from representing(I never sign the release) and I didn’t know until I showed up at my last court date which was 2 months ago that she hasn’t been released by the judge either. So guess who was suppose to be there because by law she is still my lawyer until she is released from me or the judge. The judge stated that he didn’t release her and I didn’t sign anything either.. but guess who didn’t show up.. so now I’m struggling to find another lawyer that I can not afford..

Unprofessional. I would call...got no answer. I paid 2500 she went on vacation and told me to bring what I had for my case one day before we went to court. She quit and tried to get me to believe it was BC of something I did or didn't do. When you hire a lawyer they are suppose to give you peace of mind. They are suppose to fight for you. If you decide to hire her you'll worry more then anything else. Please please take your business elsewhere no matter what you have to pay I'm sure you get better service then here.

I wasn't pleased with hiring Shakita as an attorney. Communication is horrible, Shakita nor her receptionist responds to emails, phone calls or text messages. I’ve been reaching out for months, yet I still haven’t received a response. The lack of communication is very unprofessional.

Shakita Taylor was very helpful and informative! She has a very friendly staff. everyone I encountered in her office was very cheerful. She gave me great legal advice and answered all of my legal questions. I would definitely recommend anyone use her as their attorney! Thanks Mrs. Shakita!
