After 4 months of receiving the runaround about my divorce filing status, I reached out and requested to speak to the attorney to gather details on finalization. When Mr Lekas got on the phone, I explained that I was trying to find out the status of my divorce and his response was “You can pay me $500 and I’ll speak to you” and instantly hung up on me. I called back and was told I was harassing them and was hung up on again. We paid this law office to handle our divorce but now we are harassing them by following up? This is a very unprofessional and downright rude “attorney” who does not care about his clients or reputation. like most, it’s all about the $$, which is understandable, no one works for free. But WE PAID HIM ALREADY!! DO NOT HIRE HIM. P.S. Can’t wait to read your reply considering you know this review is accurate and true. Update: I got a letter in the mail today with a copy of a divorce petition with MY name on it. Funny how that would happen if I was calling about someone else’s divorce? Yes, my ex may have been the one to pay for the filing of the paperwork, but we went together. We are still friends to this day and actually, he is the one who asked me to follow up since he tried unsuccessfully many times also. I also received a letter threatening to file suit against me over this review. Nothing I said is false or illegal. I took out the word fraudulent now that I got some type of proof you even filed it. Maybe you should re-think the way you speak to people and treat your clients so you wouldn’t have to deal with negative but true reviews. My ex was not happy with the fact I was unable to get information after he called to give your staff permission to do so. I guess you need him to leave a review on here in order to believe that? Treat your clients right, and you won’t have these issues.

He was recommended by one of my sisters who got divorced. My ex husband made it hard for me to get divorced but when I hired Stephen Lekas in March by July I was divorced. I have referred more than 7 friends to him and all of them have been satisfied with him and just last week I referred another friend. He’s one of the best lawyers in Texas

Showed up for a 430 appointment and he was not there. Front desk staff didn't inform me and I only found out after a walk in showed up which was at 5. Apparently he wouldn't answer her call but I never saw her call anyone so that could be false. Would not waste your time if he can't come on a set time or at least give some information about when they could see you. (Update: I just got a response 4 months later as anyone can see. If he was in court that day why set an appointment? Secondly the office location is more than 10 minutes from the court. He would not have made it. Third and final issue. I say I waited 30 minutes. He never called in those 30 minutes to inform me he was late This man is a waste of your time.
