Worst Experience Ever! I filed a bankruptcy through Pete Jarvis in 2020. He did not communicate with me, he never showed up to court dates, he even refused to notify the court when one of the creditors continued to report negatively to the credit bureaus, 2 years into the bankruptcy. In October 2023, a loved one passed away who I was the sole caregiver for over 2 years. I had to plan the funeral, relocate, and return to work, all by November 1st. I started the new job on February 9th. I stayed in contact with Pete Jarvis regarding my situation. I called Pete Jarvis last Thursday and learned that my case was dismissed just a couple days before I called him. He never contacted me to even tell me it was dismissed! All he had to do was request an extension to allow me to get my first pay check (which was the day I called him). When I asked him if I could appeal or re-file, he said, “No. There’s nothing you can do. It’s over. You can probably call the creditor and work out a payment plan to try to save your car.” I immediately called another attorney and learned that was not true. I could re-file. Pete Jarvis did call me the next morning to backtrack what he told me Thursday by telling me I did have a couple of options. He said I could call the creditor or I could re-file. He said if I chose to re-file, he knew the name of an attorney, because he wouldn’t do it. I told him I didn’t want his recommendation because I don’t trust him. When I asked him if he went to court the day it was dismissed, he said, “Yes, I was there, but I left before your case was called.” Why? What attorney would take your money and not defend you? I paid him thousands! Do not use this attorney or law office. After he received his full payment, he ignored me and did the bare minimum work. He never defended me.
