The Charleston Firm

I had a few legal questions, and contacted most of the attorneys in the area. April and The Charleston Firm were BY FAR THE BEST. April responded to my inquiry quickly. She was incredibly thorough, honest, clear, and answered all of my questions in greater detail than anyone else. At no point did I ever feel rushed. Perhaps one of the best parts of dealing with April and The Charleston Firm, is that she was able to take complex legal concepts and explain them in plain english. She is an excellent communicator. If you didn't go to law school and want someone who can speak with you like a normal person, April and The Charleston Firm are who you should go with. They are the firm with a personal touch, that treats you like a human and not just another account. I cannot say enough good things about April, these are the attorneys you should go with

My experience working with Michelle and the Charleston Firm was great. Michelle was always professional and genuinely looked out for my best interest. Divorce is never an easy thing, but Michelle made everything run very smoothly. She kept me informed throughout the process and was timely in her answers to any questions that I had. It was a pleasure to work with her and I would recommend her and the Charleston Firm to any of my family and friends.

Michelle handled all the details of my divorce, custody and then my estate planning. The entire experience was so professionally handled and she kept me updated throughout the entire process. She is a true professional and I truly enjoyed working with her and the Firm and will continue to use them going forward. She made me feel like part of the family and I felt that she always had my best interests at heart.

The way Michelle from Charleston Firm treated me was horrifying. She sometimes neglected me for weeks, not responding to communications with me having no idea what was going on in our case. She repeatedly forgot important information, making me constantly clarify facts at great cost in the bill. She showed up to a court appearance seemingly unprepared, confusing the entire courtroom to the point that I had to stop her while she was "defending" me so we could all figure out what she was talking about. She wrote me completely unprofessional and personal emails attacking my character and then CHARGED me for them. On top of all that, she charged me 15-30 minutes for every single email, equaling hundreds or thousands of dollars, which is absurd. The Charleston Firm and Michelle made my already stressful case a living hell, because I had nobody to rely on. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM. I hold no grudges or malice, but I truly had a terrible experience and want nobody else to go through the same while paying $275/hr. A lawyer should make your life easier, not far more difficult and stressful. STAY AWAY.
