The Law Office of Howard Collins

Don't hire this lawyer. Showed up late to court, didn't know details of the case even though I sent him all documentation, phone consultations, and more. ALL AT Charge PER HOUR, only for him to show up to court and not know a thing. Child custody by the way. If he's retired, GOOD. He over charged,(calling people not involved in my custody case, calling me to say "nothing new is happening" and then charging me $300 for A PHONE CALL, way under performed, OBVIOUSLY DIDNT CARE EXCEPT TO GET PAID.

Howard is a very nice guy. He is honest, practical, reasonable and worked with us in a way no other attorney would have. He gave us advice before he took us on and then gave us the best advice for our situation which ultimately prevented us from going through a long court battle. He also is very knowledgeable of family law. I personally used a lawyer for a divorce a few years earlier and he did not give me a lot of information that I wish I would have received. I wish I had used Howard for that because he truly helped draw up the perfect paperwork for our needs. He was in constant communication with the other parties lawyer and he was right on top of pointing out things that the other parties lawyer was trying to place into the documents that, by law, had no reason to be there. I would highly recommend him.

The receptionist was extremely rude, interrupted several times while explaining my situation.... also inturrupted me to tell me his retainer was 4000.00$ assuming a can’t pay it. And now I won’t. Don’t treat prospective clients like garbage...

He quit before final case resolution. I was disappointed with his actions of showing up late to court and not knowing facts of the case. It was like he didnt care
