In prison, my son is subjected to Solitary Confinement, and discriminated against so he can't participate in rehabilitation programs. If he had had a focus on treatment, he would have been successful, because he wants to get better and has shown compliance in his medications. We have no idea how many years it will take for my son to recover from the trauma of prison, once he is released. If your loved-one has a mental illness, or you think they might, look for a lawyer who understands MI.
