The Law Office of Preston H. Oughton

Try finding a better lawyer than him . You will never repent it . Enough said . Just needed to update this review as Mr Oughton recently replied saying I was terminated as a client . It all started when an HOA fined me close to $1000 for not having my letter box properly painted . Insane . This was in Durbin crossing . So I went to him based on his reviews ( now in retrospect likely his close buddies writing them ) . He took a few hundred $ to start the case . This is a while back about 5 years or so . In the mean time he kept in contact with me saying he’s working on it and billing me sending me letters of what he was sending to the other party . We were going no where and he was convincing me to sue them . I got so sick of it that I called the other attorney and to my shock he had never ever been in contact with them and in the mean time kept billing me !!! Cutting it short I asked the lawyer how much to close the case paid her and got rid of Mr Oughton . It’s unbelievable this practice still exists . In retrospect I should have gone to the Florida Bar and reported him . When I wrote the first brief review to warn people of his practice he emails me back and threaten me that being a physician he will write a bad review for me too. I told him to go ahead and do it but I stand by my words and will write the truth of what he did to save other folks the pain I went through. I rarely write reviews but felt this was important . He subsequently went and wrote a review giving me one star and writing I lack professionalism. This is the dept he can fall too . I would recommend avoiding him for his practice unless he has changed .
