It's been several years now, but still makes makes me mad today. Blatantly lied to me about "work" he was doing on my case ( Accidentally had a knife in my luggage at the airport???????) First and only time I had ever been in trouble with the law and paid him $3,500 upfront. I had been stressing out about the outcome for months. When I couldn't get in contact with him I started calling around for information on the case only to find out it had been dropped on its own 3-4 months ago. Finally was able to contact Mr. Cowan and asked him how the case was going, he said " I spoke with so-and-so yesterday, nothing yet, but it's looking good"..... I then called him out on his lie and asked for proof that he had done even the slightest bit of work on my case. He said I sounded irate on the phone and would call the cops if I attempted to visit his office???????????. That scared me (coming from what was supposed to be (my lawyer)), even if I tried to complain to someone else about this he would probably win in the end, I figured it'd be for the best to just leave that lier (*lawyer*) alone. Never received any information about the case and even though it's been many years, it still makes me angry.
