I contacted this office for some logistical/legal help as I ran into some issues while my attorney was unavailable. Michael Li is my lawyer from now on, period. I got a DUI last year coming from Sebastapol to Santa Rosa on HWY 12. I’ve never been to jail and didn’t know what to do. I called a buddy who is a lawyer in MN. Per his advice, he told me to get a cheap 500-dollar lawyer who would process my paperwork for me; that it was NOT worth it to fight the charges, in his PRO opinion this was a cut and dry case. Basically, throw myself on the mercy of the court. My DUI was a bad one. I ended up with a BAC of .21 with the blood test. Anything over .2 is an enhancement, more money, more time, and more problems. So I checked online for lawyers, called a bunch, left messages. Michael Li was the second attorney to call me back, however, the first to listen and ask about all of the details of my case. He pointed out many legalities that I was not aware of and points that could be “investigated” that may help my case. Long story short, I could have gone with a 500-dollar lawyer, which would have led to the enhancement conviction and all the penalties that go with it. Instead I spent around a thousand more, on a gamble and with hope that this guy might be able to get my enhancement reduced, which would have saved me over 6 months in DUI classes and over a thousand dollars in extra fees and probably more time in jail. I figured if he could get my enhancement reduced, his salary would pay for itself in saved fees and my time alone. My DUI case is over now, I did my time and completed the classes. I look back and with confidence can say that Michael Li is the man; he delivered 100% of what he presented, saved me months in DUI classes and thousands of dollars in fees, plus made the whole ordeal manageable. True story. If I ever need a lawyer again, Michael Li is my man.
