Just completed a mediation process with Heather Tessmer and her team. What an incredible experience. While results can't be guaranteed, ours were phenomenal. What was truly astounding was how Ms. Tessmer predicted ever step of the process. She predicted what the other side would proffer and what our eventual result would be. I hope I never have to go through such an experience again, but if I do, I want Ms. Tessmer and her team sitting by me. They almost made it fun.

I hired Tessmer Law Firm in 2014 to represent me in breach of contract dispute involving my business. After several years of negotiations and several trial settings I was advised by her paralegal, Julia Hix that a settlement had been finally reached in early 2017. Mrs. Hix emailed me settlement agreement she claimed opposing counsel had drawn up and requested I sign and notarize the documents, which I did. After still not receiving my settlement for many weeks, I did my own research and discovered my case had been dismissed over a year earlier. Mrs. Tessemer agrees that her office failed to notify me the case had been dismissed but blamed the error on her paralegal, Julia Hix and offered to pay the settlement amount from her own pocket only IF I signed a document that I would not discuss her handling of my case with any third parties. I refused and advised her via email I would proceed with filing a formal grievance with the State Bar. *UPDATE-July 26, 2017 * I have been advised the State Bar has accepted my grievance for formal investigation & I have filed a claim for legal malpractice with her insurance carrier. I am currently interviewing attorneys that specialize in legal malpractice cases so that I can proceed with lawsuit.
