I'm attempting to get disability since I caught covid. And I am institutionalized cuz of all my time in prison. This place, surprised me. The people were far nicer than I had expected. As I say if I give her a good review. That means they were exceptional. I hope nobody has something bad to say about these people or this place. Whether they win or lose a case is not the point. It's that they try, and treat you well. Thank you have a nice day, Pete

The Uptown People's Law Center has advocated for the homeless, the poor, and especially prisoners for decades. Their presence in our neighborhood is a huge plus. Alan Mills and others of UPLC have appeared in groundbreaking cases bringing justice to those forgotten by society at large. UPLC's work on solitary confinement cases alone has permanently altered the way not only Chicagoans, but Americans, think about solitary. Knowing Alan and company only makes me wish we could have about 1000 more UPLCs. Absolute Respect.

I dont think words can describe it but Uptown has been such a support system to me and my family. To watch Alan Mills work is just.... I dont know..amazing. He knows his stuff like no other.
