Out of 100% 90% of the staff don’t give a flying f**k about their patients... you are a paycheck ????to them so try keep you alive and coming back. All they see you as is their next chart not a person with human emotions. That also goes for Security,Desk Clerk, Head Doctors, Student Doctors, and Nurses etc. When you talk to them about your issues and concerns they look at you like waiting for paint to dry. Also what’s the time frame on Emergency at point is it no longer an Emergency 1???? 2???? 3???? 4???? 5???? 6???? hours. So If you don’t use the ambulance you are less of an Emergency lol. You can spend up to 9hrs in the lobby ER waiting for a temp bed in actual ER then another 8 waiting for a room upstairs. I’ve seen employees abuse their rights and cut the line for friends or family all because they work there. Don’t make my mistakes start recording your stay here from beginning to end. Can’t rely on fake ( ???? omg this Hospital is so great an friendly and clean) comments I’ve been a patient here 11yrs and it wasn’t always like this,I’ll start recommending this Hospital again when they start really treating people the way they advertise on their brochure or website

Recently had a plate installed in my jaw by UMDNJ that has become infected and inflamed. I have returned to the same oral surgeon to have it looked at. I am in a great deal of pain, and the infection is very serious. Last week I had a 10:00am appt and arrived 15 mins early. I waited and waited and waited.... At 1:00pm i was told by the nurse to go ahead and go to lunch because the staff is going out to lunch. They told me to be back at 1:30pm. At 1:30pm I was told that the staff wont take any patients until 2:30pm because they are usually running behind after lunch. At 3:00pm I was told that the doctor is not back from lunch yet. At 3:45pm I had enough of these games. I was at this place from 9:40am until 4:00pm without ever being seen.

Don't go here please they don't care about people at all I sat in the waiting room for 6 hours they didn't care about nobody pain or anything they need no stars only reason they have 1 is because I had to comment they are horrible lady had to pee on herself to get help never ever go here please

I was with my son in the pediatric the nurse just the narcotic medicine just take your Self and just left when I said something I'm the mom that my job to give my medicine in the hospital the nurse in umj the don't give time and patience to the patient

This hospital is a nightmare. Do not apply for Charity Care. The staff there are very ignorant and I have had to go back four times for items they did NOT tell me I needed prior.
