Worst lawyer ever, a thief I'll say. Creating fake invoices is Meryl Wenig/her goal to steal from her clients without doing any work and sometimes double billing. Stay away from this firm, find some reputable lawyer out there, because this one is not. Will throw you under the bus and will harass you to get paid, before doing any work.

Meryl Wenig was a God Send! I was dealing with an impossible situation. My mom passed away, then a thief broke in and started squatting in my moms home. He also then started renting to someone else in my mom's home. the cops were absolutely no help. they actually acted like he had more rights than i did. it was the worst situation to have to deal with after my loss of my mom. I had another lawyer, who did absolutely nothing for a year. Meryl came in and got both of them out in literally a month. She told me that she was going to get them out and honestly when she told me, I was not sure it would really happen (since the other lawyer did nothing for a year). Meryl absolutely DOES NOT PLAY, and she is super knowledgeable about what she does. I thank God I was put in touch w/her/ i usually do not write reviews, but wanted to share the word of an excellent lawyer who will go beyond to help you in your circumstance.

So when I had a tenant from hell who didn’t pay rent for a year and who filed complaints with HPD and other agencies on a daily basis, I knew I needed serious help. I had seen Meryl in action in several real estate cases over the years, and I knew many other attorneys who she represented in court. So I was confident that Meryl and her firm were the right choice. I was not disappointed. Meryl shredded my non-paying tenant - and his lawyer - before and during trial. The outcome was better than I expected. I would have been happy at that point just to get my tenant out. Not only did he leave, but Meryl was able to get much of the back rent paid. I can’t say enough positive thing about Meryl, her firm, and how well they took care of me. First class all the way.

I had a tenant from hell, that she cornered with multiple lawsuits, and they got him out in a matter of months. She is probably the most knowledgeable L&T attorney in New York. Furthermore, she is tough as nails in court, and ALWAYS gets the job done! Highly recommended!
