Steve Kardell handled and extremely delicate and emotionally draining employment situation for me a number of years back. I was more than pleased with the outcome and forever grateful to him and his team. Austin, Texas

I want To be clear I did in fact hire this attorney! I do have the documents proving so. If you google his business you'll find other reviews or complaints in the past year so IDK guess he's just getting greedy and sloppy! The only thing this attorney did was take my money. Then he became very hard to reach. I gave this firm a couple months to do something. It wasn't until I start pushing for results that he sent 1 letter. The time stamps on the emails refereed to me show that to be the case. I responded to one of their emails and for 3 weeks I didn't hear anything! He agreed to refund then didn't so I went through the Attorney Client Assistance Program operated by the State of Texas and he didn't even respond to them after 30 days and I finally had to file a Grievance with the State Bar

After he took my money made a statement that he didn't care what documents I sent him even though these were important to my case. Him or his Assistant were very hard to reach once the payment was made to the firm. I had to fire him and then take the time to do what I hired him to do. After the firm agreed to part ways on 08/25/17 and then 2 weeks later the firm still hadn't done anything and now it's 09/27/2017 I was asked kindly to remove my reviews and I did so and a month later I have been forced to put them back up hopefully to help others from being taken advantage of here. Now I'm out the money paid to this Firm as well as the money from the company I hired him to collect my money from. I hired this firm and the lead and his assistant I've been dealing with. I hired this firm to recover unpaid earned income from a trucking company called Landstar out of Jacksonville FL. It has been several months since I hired this firm and only a couple communications have been made after he took my $1000 and agreed to litigate the case at a fixed rate up to a certain recovery. Once he took the money he became very hard to reach by phone or email. Emails occasionally get answered and they claim they will contact you then never do that was the first couple months. I attempted to reach him 1 day and he turned his phone off the second time I called. Several calls were made to his assistant and she simply kept pushing me to voicemail till I finally called back to back and then Steve answered her(assistants) phone screaming "what do you want I'm sick of your S***". His comments were made that he didn't really care about my case and when I was trying to tell him I sent him documents that supported my case he kept cutting me off screaming like a child that he didn't care about my documents. He claims he doesn't remember that day this so I downloaded my call log from my Service provider and sent them and the total was 8 calls spaced out over the day. Out of frustration I mentioned filing a grievance and Steve's comment was to call Donald Trump for all he cared. I did however file a complaint with TX AG's office. They sent a couple letters to the company I'm trying to collect from but that has been it. Emails went unanswered in August until I suggested a refund and we part ways. I understand attorneys are busy people but when their assistant are ignoring you and they flat out blow you to voicemail all day long and the attorney himself turns his phone off there is something wrong.
