I can't speak to the employee experience, but I can say that the software user interface is horrible - by 2023 standards, not even amateur quality. Perhaps they could shave a few shekels out of their advertising budget and hire a UX engineer or two.
Not only does the product suck, but they laid off hundreds of employees only to turn around and find an ad during the Super Bowl. Did you know a 30 second ad during this prime time costs 7 MILLION dollars? How many hundreds of employees could have remained employed with that money? Zero care for humanity.
Workday uses AI algorithms TO DISCRIMINATE against job applicants! In my case, my application was blocked and frozen after I answered yes 3 consecutive times to the question: do you have a disability? On the third attempt, I took a screenshot for evidence. Legal proceedings are forthcoming!
I've worked here 6 years. It's not perfect, but the founders did a good job trying to ensure an enduring legacy of great work culture. I feel Workday will someday succumb to becoming just another large tech company, but for the time being it still holds on to it's core values. I feel respected for the work I do and compensated fairly. Workday is a moral company in my experience. 5/5 stars.
Great SaaS leading company.
