Miguel Abraham Elias is an aggressive litigation attorney with strong leadership, vast trial experience, and excellent negotiation skills. Born in Puerto Rico and half Cuban, Miguel is fully bilingual in both English and Spanish. Miguel left Puerto Rico when he was fifteen years old to study at Monteverde High School near Orlando, Florida. He then attended Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana, graduating in May of 1994 with a Bachelor in Business Administration and a concentration in Management and Marketing. He went on to pursue a law degree at Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in Common Law with Civil Certificate in May of 1997. In 1998, Miguel received his license from the Louisiana Supreme Court and began his practice as an associate at the Law Office of Neville G. Orrett, where he had previously worked as a paralegal. He was quickly promoted to named partner. He continued his practice at the Law Office of Orrett & Elias for two years. In the year 2000, Miguel opened his own practice- Miguel A. Elias, APLC. Since then, his office has served clients of all nationalities and throughout the State of Louisiana. His practice continues to be at the forefront of professional and excellent legal representation. Miguel resides in Kenner with his lovely wife and four beautiful daughters.

Tim is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He received his Law Degree from Loyola University in 2000. Initially, he began his legal career representing insurance companies, including Allstate Insurance Company, Encompass Insurance Company, Imperial Fire and Casualty Insurance Company, Re-Insurance of American, and several others. During this period, he acquired a tremendous amount of trial experience and maintained an extremely high win ratio. After spending this time representing large companies, Tim decided to direct his energy and experience fighting these companies on behalf of the individual. In mid-2004, Tim started The Upton Law Firm and has focused all of his attention on representing “individuals” with great success. He has a true passion for assisting the “little guy” against these large organizations. Tim’s spectrum of legal services was broadened in 2004 and he began fighting for the rights of those charged with crimes by the federal and state authorities in Louisiana. Jack E. "Bobby" Truitt was born in Texas, but raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. After graduating from Jesuit High School of New Orleans, he attended Louisiana State University where he obtained a business administration degree with a minor in political science. He then obtained his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law and has been licensed in Louisiana and Texas since. He is admitted to practice in all Louisiana State and Federal District and Appellate Courts and has been admitted to the United States Supreme Court as well. Mr. Truitt began his practice with a small defense firm that practiced primarily admiralty, worker's compensation, and general casualty litigation. However, he soon joined a larger insurance defense firm in Metairie, Louisiana where he began trying many cases on behalf of major national clients such as Kmart, Cox Cable, Tonti Properties, and Walgreens; there, he obtained numerous "zero verdicts" in bench and jury trials. Mr. Truitt soon became a partner in this firm, but was dissatisfied with the "big firm" mentality, so he formed his own firm with two assistant district attorneys, who thereafter returned to practicing criminal law on a full-time basis. The Truitt Law Firm continued with the association of Jack E. Truitt, Bobby's father, who has since passed, and others. The firm continues to represent major national clients successfully at the trial and appellate levels. The firm has significant experience in the areas of pharmaceutical defense, automobile litigation, premises liability, construction litigation, worker's compensation, business litigation, and criminal defense. Mr. Truitt has been a presenter at many continuing education seminars for other lawyers, paralegals, and claims professionals. He is also a former member of the Louisiana Bar Association House of Delegates, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and the prestigious Defense Research Institute. He has achieved the highest rating from his peers in Martindale Hubbell, and the firm recently was awarded the distinction of approval by A. M. Best Insurance Ratings. Mr. Truitt serves on the Board of Directors for the West St. Tammany YMCA and is involved in other organizations benefitting the community. Mr. Truitt resides in Covington, Louisiana with his wife and three boys.

Wyman spent the first four years of his practice with a national firm primarily representing insurance companies in losses sustained as a result of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Gustav. Wyman also represented carriers and insurers in property damage and personal injury losses sustained as a result of transportation activities, as well as doing general liability litigation. Due to the very nature of his practice, Wyman had the opportunity to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, in addition to over fifteen different state district courts. Wyman has also participated in over fifty mediations, and he understands the importance of maintaining open lines of communication in the litigation process. In 2011, Wyman left that firm to join with Gabe in founding Bankston Duhon, LLC, a firm that focuses on securing justice for those who have been aggrieved. Wyman and his wife Millie are avid quarter horse owners and are members of Calvary Christian Center.
