Philip founded Rocky Mountain Law Firm (formerly the Bluestein Law Firm) in 1995 while living in Ohio. In 2000 he and his family relocated to Colorado. Upon graduating from law school, Philip practiced for a year and a half in one of the oldest firms in Cincinnati, Ohio that focused on estate planning, litigation and real estate. He started his own firm in 1995 focusing on Civil and Criminal Litigation, Business Law, and Estate Planning. While in Cincinnati, his now ex-wife was a surgeon still in training. Over time Philip found that many medical professionals that he or his then wife knew began asking him questions related to contracts, careers, and practices. He realized there was a definite need he could address and developed his practice to help healthcare professionals. When his then wife completed her training, they moved to Colorado where he helped her set up and run her medical and surgical practice, as well as restarting his law practice with a focus on healthcare professionals and practices. Philip grew up in the Midwest. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government with a minor in History from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. From 1995 to 2003 he served as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the US Army Reserves, where he assisted soldiers with estate planning and other assistance to meet their requirements prior to being deployed. He also represented soldiers in military separation boards and served as the Claims Officer for the 9th LSO, 88th RSC. He completed eight years of service rising to the rank of Captain. Philip is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Boulder County Bar Association, where he served as the co-chair of the Business Law Section for two years. He is licensed in Colorado and Ohio. At the office, Philip is always glad to introduce clients to our golden retrievers Sadie and Zev, the office dogs. He is remarried and has two sons in college, Solomon and Isaac, and loves to spend time with his family. He also enjoys cycling, skiing, camping, and hiking.

An excellent student, Roni was recruited by Ice Miller in Indianapolis where she began working in qualified retirement plans and stock-incentive plans. But she craved working more closely with the stakeholder, so she transitioned to business, tax and estate planning services and joined Barnes & Thornburg. After gaining significant experience with the "big-box" firms, Roni set out on her solo practice in 2003. Soon thereafter, federal and state law changes meant fewer and fewer Americans were concerned with death taxes. Instead, for the past 15 years or so, income-tax concerns have become increasingly more impactful to both business owners and estate planning clients. So after two decades of law practice, Roni pursued a master's of tax law degree from the University of Denver. Collectively, her law practice and advance study sharpened her understanding of business deductions, retirement-income and capital gain tax efficiencies. In addition, Roni also took a few years' detour as a Senior Wealth Strategist in the investment and wealth industry. That experience added yet another dimension to her work and gives her a comfort level discussing financial topics that many attorneys simply do not feel comfortable addressing. She is a true collaborator with a client's full financial team of advisors. Fun fact: Roni has an eye for wildlife photography. But perhaps her most unique hobby was singing the National Anthem for college and professional teams when she lived in Indy, such as: NBA Indiana Pacers, WNBA Indiana Fever, Indiana University men's and women's Basketball, Butler University men's Basketball, Indianapolis Indians baseball, NFL Indianapolis Colts and . . . TNT Monster Truck Jam!
