About George
George Nino has practiced law since 1989 and is a trial attorney with experience in commercial, class action, environmental, and personal injury litigation. He has tried cases both as a Special Assistant United States Attorney and as a civil trial attorney and is licensed in both Texas and California.
From 2006 to 2007, Mr. Nino has been a part of Caddell & Chapman legal teams that have received trial verdicts and settlements of over $45.1 million for his clients. In 2006, he was part of the trial team that secured a $33.6 million verdict against Exxon Mobil Oil Corporation following a five week jury trial. In 2007, Mr. Nino helped the sovereign Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma settle its claims against ASARCO LLC for $11.5 million.
As a class action attorney, he currently represents or has represented over million consumers in cases involving defective Toshiba laptop computers, defective Nissan 350z cars, and overcharges by Circuit City.
In 2004, he secured a AAA arbitration award in a commercial litigation matter that included treble damages and an award of all attorneys' fees requested.
Mr. Nino graduated from Stanford Law School in 1989. While at Stanford, he was a trial advocacy teaching assistant and a member of the 1989 mock trial team. Mr. Nino started his legal career in the San Diego office of one of the largest law firms in California. He left to join the United States Treasury Department as an international law enforcement specialist and later practiced with the U.S. Attorney's office in Washington, D.C. As a Special Assistant United States Attorney, he tried 20 cases to verdict. In 1993, Mr. Nino established his own practice in Houston before joining Caddell & Chapman.
Mr. Nino received a B.A. degree with high honors from Yale University in 1986. He is a member of the State Bars of Texas and California and admitted to practice before all Texas and California state courts as well as the United States District Court for the Southern Districts of Texas and California.
