About Georgia

Georgia Day was born and raised in Macon, Georgia. She moved to Athens, Georgia to attend the University of Georgia, where she graduated magna cum laude with a double major in both Sociology and Criminal Justice. After her undergraduate studies, she was awarded the Judge Wilbur Owens, Jr. Scholarship and attended the University of Georgia School of Law. At the University of Georgia School of Law, she was selected to write for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and worked on the Managing Board and as Articles Editor of the publication. Additionally, she worked in the School of Law’s Family Violence Clinic, where she helped low-income clients obtain protective orders. She received her Juris Doctorate in 2011 and moved to Louisiana. Georgia has been licensed to practice law in Louisiana since 2011 and is admitted to practice before all Louisiana State and Federal courts. Before joining Day Law Group Injury Lawyers in 2015, Georgia worked in defense litigation and also as an Administrative Law Judge for the Louisiana Workforce Commission. She uses this experience to fight for her clients and make sure they are fully compensated.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Getting to help people in bad situations. Most of our clients are going through a tough time with injuries and may or may not be able to work. Many are stressed about how to proceed, and we're able to help relieve that stress and worry.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

I enjoy playing tennis; I play in various leagues during the year. I also enjoy hunting and fishing.

Are you involved in your community?

I am the Tournament Director for the first annual Veterans Classic Tennis Tournament that raises money for a local Baton Rouge charity, Veterans Help Foundation that supports the needs of local veterans. Our office also has a team walking to raise money for Susan G. Komen. We are also involved in local youth sports programs and catholic schools.
