About Gerard

Gerard Kuchler is a lifelong Wisconsin resident. He has been practicing in the criminal defense field for more than 30 years. During that time, he has developed a reputation as a persistent and tough negotiator. Gerry treats every case as if he were representing a son or daughter. He understands the impact a criminal conviction can have on one's future. As such, Gerry does everything in his power to have charges reduced or dismissed.

If the decision is made to plead guilty to a crime, Gerry will supply the court with mitigating information in order to achieve the lowest and most reasonable sentence possible.

Gerry is the Kuchler & Cotton point person for any legal issue you may be confronted with. In addition to his experience in criminal defense, he has handled countless divorce, personal injury and contract matters. Gerry is passionate about the law because he understands how impactful it is on one's life. He has made it his point throughout his career to be knowledgeable about every area of law.

In his 30+ years of practice Gerry has mentored and counseled countless young lawyers. He founded Kuchler Law Offices which, in 2007, became Kuchler & Cotton Law Offices. He practices with his wife, Donna Kuchler and his step-son, Anthony Cotton. Gerry is also proud of the mentoring he has offered to the firm's newest associate, Christopher Wiesmueller.

Gerry believes strongly that most criminal cases require a team approach. If you are accused of a crime, there are a team of prosecutors and law enforcement officers working to secure a conviction.
