Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I was able to help a father gain sole legal and physical custody of his daughter. I was able to help a motorcycle accident victim receive a $300,000 settlement. I was able to help an employee who received a traumatic brain injury on the job a settlement of $850,000. In defending a client who was facing federal criminal charges, I was able to get a sentence which was half of his coconspirators'.
How did you build a successful practice?
I built a successful practice by being exceptionally honest and forthright with my clients. I have always told my clients what they need to hear, not necessarily what they want to hear. I think most clients appreciate being informed.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Someone who will communicate with them and not spend a client's money without considering whether it will help further the case.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Local knowledge is key. Knowing the judges and courtroom procedures is mandatory to be successful.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
I can essentially advise whether you have a legal cause of action and whether you should hire an attorney to represent you.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
If a court case is pending, I need to know what venue and court is handling the litigation. I also need to know the name of the adverse party so that I can ensure I am able to take your case.
