Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
In 2018 I represented the surviving daughter and parents of Anthony Weber who was shot and killed by the Sheriff’s department. I was able to recover $3.75 million for the family. I am presently one of the attorneys for family members in the George Floyd. I believe we are at a crossroads in the fight against tyrannical abuse of power by police departments.
How did you build a successful practice?
Return clients are directly related to my success. I believe that clients appreciate it when they know you have done your best to fight for their rights and entitlements.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Someone they feel they can trust. Most people have a negative view of attorneys so it is my job to demonstrate to them through my actions that I have integrity, tenacity, a track record of success and put their interests above my own.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
It is very important that I have the knowledge of how things are done in the local community. It breeds successful results and speeds up the process of obtaining justice for my clients.

My other interests are music, kickboxing and philosophy.

I am involved in supporting non-profits that help those less fortunate and have given over $50 thousand for scholarships for people of color.
