About Hector
HECTOR J. TORRES is a litigator and practices in the areas of commercial law, insurance defense and personal injury.
Hector is a native of McAllen, Texas. He obtained his B.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984 and his J.D. from Arizona State University in 1990. From 1991 to 1994, he served as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney for Hidalgo County, Texas, and joined the firm in February 1996.
He is licensed to practice in all Texas Courts, the United States District Court for the Southern District, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Hector is a current and former Director of the Hidalgo County Bar Association. He serves on the board of the local chapter of Habitat For Humanity. He is a former Adjunct Faculty member at South Texas College. As a faculty member, he taught business law and other legal courses. In addition, Hector serves as a volunteer mediator for the Hidalgo County Bar Association Settlement Week program and judges and coaches in the State of Texas High School Mock Trial Competition.
