About Holly
Holly J. Schreier has practiced family law in North Texas for 15 years, devoting the vast majority of her practice to issues concerning the protection of children. Ms. Schreier gained invaluable skills and experience during her many years as the Chief Prosecutor of Child Protective Services Cases in one of Dallas County's two juvenile courts. Ms. Schreier now uses her extensive knowledge of the Child Protective Services and juvenile court systems to effectively represent children and parents in abuse and neglect cases filed by the State. In addition to her advocacy for children and parents, Ms. Schreier is a trained mediator, appointed often by the courts in abuse, neglect, adoption and other custody cases.
Ms. Schreier has been lead counsel in more than thirty jury trials and countless trials and hearings of all types before the Court. Ms. Schreier has been a featured speaker in many forums and has provided training to a large population, including law enforcement officials, attorneys, medical professionals and volunteers. Ms. Schreier is widely respected for her expertise, advocacy and compassion in a field where every case deeply touches the lives of all who find themselves involved.
Ms. Schreier received her undergraduate education from Duke University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude, and her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. She and her husband, Greg Housewirth, practice law together, have been married for ten years and are the parents of one child, a dog and two cats.
