Ms. Myers joined Pearson & Paris, P.C. on January 8, 2018. Ms. Myers received her Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University Law School. During her law school tenure, Ms. Myers served as Editor-in-Chief of the Valparaiso University Law Review and was one of the founding members and treasurer of the Asian American Pacific Islander Law Student Association. Ms. Myers also participated in the Juvenile and Family Law clinic where she served as Guardian Ad Litem in family related matters to help resolve disputes of parenting time and decision-making responsibility. Ms. Myers also appeared in the Porter County Juvenile Court as a public defender for individuals facing contempt charges for failure to pay child support. Ms. Myers was a recipient of the Hoeppner, Wagner & Evans Scholarship for outstanding commitment to the law school and was awarded the Scribes Award for demonstrating the highest levels of legal professionalism and excellence in legal writing. In May 2017, Ms. Myers was inducted into the National Order of Scribes. Ms. Myers is sympathetic to the emotional strain many families endure in the field of domestic relations. She uses her passion and empathy to advocate for her clients, while recognizing the unique dynamics of each family and her specific role she plays within those dynamics. She prides herself on her ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, superior work ethic, and her analytical reasoning skills. Ms. Austin Dominick joined Pearson & Paris, P.C. as an associate attorney in December 2020, and will focus her skillset in the areas of family law, probate, and general civil litigation. She received her Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Dominick served as president for the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and was a member of the Environmental Law Society, Health Law Society, International Law Society, and the Women’s Law Caucus. Ms. Dominick also participated in the Washington Moderate Means Practicum where she worked on matters related to family, housing, and consumer law for those who cannot afford a full fee attorney yet exceed the low-income qualifications for free legal assistance. Having been born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Ms. Dominick is an ardent supporter of the Colorado community. She comes from a long line of distinguished lawyers and is eager to continue the family legacy of helping those in need. Ms. Dominick has experience working with diverse clients at the Seattle Civil Rights Office, the Washington Moderate Means practicum and has experience in workers compensation as well as personal injury law. Ms. Dominick understands the complex nature of the law, has an exceptional eye for detail, and will work hard to ensure her clients receive the legal representation and compassion they deserve. Ms. Dominick is passionate about protecting the environment, defending animals, and advocating for meaningful change that will promote social equity. When Ms. Dominick is away from the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors skiing, traveling, swimming, and playing with her cat and other animals. Upon graduating from law school, Philip practiced for a year and a half in one of the oldest firms in Cincinnati, Ohio that focused on estate planning, litigation and real estate. He started his own firm in 1995 focusing on Civil and Criminal Litigation, Business Law, and Estate Planning. While in Cincinnati, his now ex-wife was a surgeon still in training. Over time Philip found that many medical professionals that he or his then wife knew began asking him questions related to contracts, careers, and practices. He realized there was a definite need he could address and developed his practice to help healthcare professionals. When his then wife completed her training, they moved to Colorado where he helped her set up and run her medical and surgical practice, as well as restarting his law practice with a focus on healthcare professionals and practices. Philip grew up in the Midwest. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government with a minor in History from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. From 1995 to 2003 he served as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the US Army Reserves, where he assisted soldiers with estate planning and other assistance to meet their requirements prior to being deployed. He also represented soldiers in military separation boards and served as the Claims Officer for the 9th LSO, 88th RSC. He completed eight years of service rising to the rank of Captain. Philip is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Boulder County Bar Association, where he served as the co-chair of the Business Law Section for two years. He is licensed in Colorado and Ohio. At the office, Philip is always glad to introduce clients to our golden retrievers Sadie and Zev, the office dogs. He is remarried and has two sons in college, Solomon and Isaac, and loves to spend time with his family. He also enjoys cycling, skiing, camping, and hiking.
