Born and raised in Mid-Michigan, Casey attended Michigan State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Advertising. Casey worked for years in advertising, marketing, and business consultation before deciding to attend law school. In 2013, Casey graduated Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (now Western Michigan University Cooley Law School), with a concentration in Intellectual Property. While attending law school, Casey worked on various consumer protection projects with the Attorney General of Michigan, as well as interning for an East Lansing based law firm. In 2014, Casey was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan, and is licensed to practice in the state of Michigan, is admitted to practice in the Michigan Federal Court of the Western District, and has been admitted to practice in the Colorado Federal Court, as well as the United States Tax Court. Since becoming licensed, Casey has been working as a solo practitioner in Michigan. Casey has worked in a wide variety of areas including Real Estate, Landlord/Tenant, Copyright, Contracts, Tax Issues, Business Organization, Wills and Trusts, Bar Exam Appeals, Collections, Construction Law, and Compliance. The principal areas of law that he has focused on during his four-plus decades of experience have been trial advocacy and business organizations. Mr. Williams attained Diplomate status with the Court Practice Institute in Chicago, Illinois, in 1978. He has worked at the Michigan Department of Commerce, Corporation and Securities Division, Franchise Registration for two years prior to admittance into the State Bar of Michigan. During that time, he was also the chief legal clerk for Circuit Court Judge Paul Mahinske in Howell, Michigan. Personal & Educational History Attorney Williams was born in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn, New York in 1947. His father owned his own newspaper and was an investigative journalist by trade; his mother was a hospital dietitian with a Master’s in food chemistry. He attended high school in Thompson, Connecticut at Marianapolis Preparatory School and graduated with a classical and a scientific diploma. Thereafter, he attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and received a BA degree with majors in history and chemistry, minors in economics. He attended and graduated from Thomas Cooley Law School in May 1978. He’s married with seven children, which include six sons and one daughter. His outside interests include gardening, wilderness camping, playing and teaching music, cooking, writing, and competitive league bowling during the winter months.

A Michigan native, Mr. Doud grew up in Saginaw, graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School, Northern Michigan University, and Western Michigan University Cooley Law School. He started practicing law in 1996 and became a partner in 2003. Mike lives on Saginaw Bay with his wife, two children, and two dogs.

Ben Hall has dedicated his life to service—first to his country, then to his community, and now to his clients. He served five years in the United States Marine Corps, including a combat tour in Iraq. Remarkably, while working full-time as a police officer, Ben pursued his law degree, distinguishing himself through internships with the Michigan House of Representatives, the Governor’s Office, a state circuit court judge, and two federal judges on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. After graduating cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law in 2019, Ben joined the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office. There, he prosecuted cases ranging from misdemeanors to multimillion-dollar fraud and complex criminal sexual conduct matters. This experience sharpened his ability to analyze cases from the inside and identify weaknesses in the state’s arguments. When Ben entered private practice, he immediately put this background to work for his clients. By leveraging his unique perspective as both a former prosecutor and nearly a decade as a police officer, he has secured favorable results—including multiple dismissals—for clients who once faced years of incarceration or lifelong criminal records. His reputation for exposing flaws in the prosecution’s case has allowed many clients to leave court with their freedom intact. Ben’s story has reached beyond the courtroom. He has been featured in both local and national media for his insight into Michigan’s child protective services policies and for his reflections as a veteran on 9/11. His extraordinary act of compassion as a police officer toward a struggling young mother brought him national attention, with appearances on The Real, Fox and Friends, CNN, NBC Nightly News, HLN, and more. In recognition of his impact, he was named one of CNN’s Extraordinary People of 2014. Outside the courtroom, Ben is deeply committed to his family and community. He volunteers as a coach for his son’s football team and actively supports programs such as 4H, youth sports, and Odyssey of the Mind. He also officiates high school and college football and basketball, and in his “spare time” is training toward his private pilot’s license. Ben holds a bachelor’s degree from Park University (2007), a master’s degree from Central Michigan University (2015), and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law (2019). He is admitted to practice law in all courts in the State of Michigan and the eastern and western federal district courts.
