About J.
J. CHRISTOPHER CALDWELL received his Bachelor of Arts degree with high distinction from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in 1977 and his Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School in 1984. Mr. Caldwell has been in private practice since 1985 joining Stark Reagan in 2001.
Mr. Caldwell's litigation practice is unusually diverse. He has litigated in state and federal courts, administrative tribunals and arbitration proceedings. While Mr. Caldwell's practice focuses on commercial litigation and collections, he often gets involved in corporate, probate and real estate law matters, and has tried divorce and personal injury cases.
Mr. Caldwell is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell. Mr. Caldwell served as President of the Michigan Creditors Bar Association from 1998-2000, and Vice President of the Michigan Creditors Bar Association from 1997-1998. He has served as a district court case evaluator in Oakland County since 1999.
Mr. Caldwell is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association and the Michigan Creditors Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Michigan State Courts and in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
