About J. Lane

A former Assistant U.S. Attorney, J. Lane Ewing, Jr. joined the firm in 2013.  Ewing has substantial litigation and trial experience in complex tax fraud, money laundering and high-level narcotics trafficking investigations and prosecutions.  Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s office, Ewing focused on consumer-oriented claims, such as industrial accidents, other accidents causing death or severe disabilities, and consumer class actions.  He also served as Projects Director for United States Congressman Donald J. Cazayoux, Jr., where he secured over $16 million dollars in appropriations for the sixth congressional district of Louisiana.
A native of New Roads, Louisiana, Ewing graduated from the University of Notre Dame, cum laude, with his business degree in May 2002. He received his Juris Doctorate from Tulane Law School in May 2005. Ewing practices at both the state and federal levels, with emphasis on complex litigation and white-collar defense.
