About Jacqueline
Partner, Labor & Employment Group, Tax Group, Procurement Practice Group. She advises public and private employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. Ms. Jackson-DeGarcia counsels clients on leave issues, revisions of practices and policies, lawful hiring, and termination of employees.
She practices extensively before administrative tribunals and state and federal courts in matters involving claims of discrimination, contract disputes, and non-compete issues. Ms. Jackson-DeGarcia served as prosecutor in employee termination and disciplinary proceedings and as a traditional labor counsel for employers in contract negotiations, claims of unfair labor practices, and labor arbitrations.
In addition to her labor and employment practice, Ms. Jackson-DeGarcia's experience includes state and local tax law. She has represented entities in litigation before Pennsylvania tax appellate boards, and taxpayers in commercial and industrial tax assessment appeals throughout Pennsylvania and PURTA litigation. Ms. Jackson-DeGarcia also has extensive experience working with OSHA, the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and has assisted clients in general and catastrophe investigations.
Ms. Jackson-DeGarcia received her J.D. from Widener University Law School, and her B.S.B.A. from Villanova University.
She is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.
