Attorney James Bogatay is a compassionate family lawyer who works hard to help his clients reach positive outcomes. He empathizes with his clients and understands the plights they endure as they navigate the complex Pennsylvania legal system.
James received a bachelor’s degree in Operations and Information Systems Management from Pennsylvania State University. He subsequently studied law at Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh. After law school, James clerked for a criminal court judge and worked in a diverse array of legal fields, including real estate, corporate law, oil and gas, family, and civil law.

James was drawn to family law as a way to connect with others who are going through difficult times in their lives. He has personal experience with adoption law and other family law issues, and wants to put his expertise to work for good people in Pennsylvania.
As an active member of his community, James serves as Director for the Moon Area School Board. He also enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife and three children. In his spare time, James plays guitar and enjoys exercising.
