Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
In the past two years, I have helped dozens of clients free their lives from crippling debt through my bankruptcy practice. I have defended and successfully reunited three families with their children, saving them from years in foster care.
How did you build a successful practice?
My successful practice is based upon a simple premise - every client that comes through my door needs help, whether it be with criminal charges that may result in the loss of their freedom, crushing financial burdens that can be lifted with the assistance of the bankruptcy laws, or demonstrating to the world that they have rectified the missteps that have temporarily separated them from their children. I am here to help those people, and do so with honesty, compassion, and justice.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should seek a lawyer that is ethical, honest, and who will listen to their issues without judgment. They should also expect that lawyer to tell them the truth, no matter how painful, and work with them to achieve the best results possible for their situation.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Any licensed attorney can practice in any courtroom in the state. That doesn't always mean that they should. Having knowledge of local rules, courtroom expectations, and the quirks of prosecutors and judges can sometimes make the difference between success and failure. Certainly, a "big-city lawyer" can come into a courtroom and show the locals how it "should be done" - but that oftentimes backfires, and results in less-than-optimal results.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I am different than other attorneys in my area in that I seek to help anyone who comes through my door. If I cannot help you, I'll do my best to get you to someone who can. However, with the breadth of services that my law office provides, it is highly likely that we can help. From navigating the complex world of federal bankruptcy law, to ensuring your rights and freedoms are protected in Georgia courtrooms, my office is truly here to help you.
