About James
Attorney James Salvatore Giardina was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, a former steel town that holds the dubious distinction of being the debt collection capital of the world (more than 100 collection agencies have settled in Buffalo and employ more than 5,000 collectors). As a collector, during high school and college, James witnessed the often misleading and sometimes abusive tactics. In his former role as in house counsel for one of the world’s largest debt collection companies, Mr. Giardina made thousands of court appearances on debt collection cases, and became intimately familiar with the mechanics of debt collection litigation. Learning that consumers are often unaware of the rights that protect them from unscrupulous collectors, Mr. Giardina joined The Consumer Rights Law Group and now represents consumers exclusively.
Mr. Giardina has been practicing for nearly a decade, and has extensive courtroom experience in both state and Federal Courts. Mr. Giardina graduated from the State University of New York, and is a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association and the National Association of Consumer Advocates. Mr. Giardina is admitted to practice in all State Courts in New York and Florida, as well as several Federal Courts, including the District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Western District of New York and the Middle District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
