Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
We represented a young woman who was injured when a driver was showing off his new truck to his friends. While spinning out in a driveway, the driver went on to the paved surface and struck our client head-on. The impact was so severe it broke a wheel off our client's car. She was bloodied and injured. After recovering, she tried to work with the insurance company for the other driver, but was ignored. When we became involved, the other driver's insurance company paid all of its available money and we obtained additional funds from our client's insurance company.
How did you build a successful practice?
We believe in evaluating a case early and keeping our clients informed as to the case status and any developments, good or bad. We have been practicing for many years and we work very hard for our clients. We would not be here without our clients, and we know that and show that every day.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Your lawyer must be honest and not afraid to deliver straightforward information regarding your claim. It does no one any good to have a lawyer avoid the hard truths or sugarcoat potential issues with a claim. You need to know your own strengths and weaknesses.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
We practice mainly in Richmond, Henrico, Hanover, Chesterfield and Petersburg. To know the judges, some of whom we practiced with before they became judges, is invaluable. Our attorneys are known for being straight shooters and ethical lawyers, which is worth its weight in gold when appearing before a judge.
