JAMES R. SCOTT is a shareholder and director with the law firm of Lindner & Marsack, S.C.
Employment litigation and employment discrimination are Mr. Scott's primary areas of concentration. His work experience has included a number of federal and state court jury trials and appellate work before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the Wisconsin Courts of Appeal and the Supreme Court.
Mr. Scott graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. degree in 1966, and from Marquette University Law School in 1969. He was awarded a fellowship for graduate studies in law from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Mr. Scott is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association, and the Bar Association for the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is past Chairman of the State Bar of Wisconsin Labor and Employment Law Section, and has served as Vice-Chairman of the American Bar Association Administrative Law Section Committee on Civil Rights and Employment Discrimination. Mr. Scott was named a "Super Lawyer" in 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009 by Wisconsin Super Lawyers, published by Law & Politics.
Mr. Scott has made numerous presentations on a variety of labor and employment related matters to industry groups, the State Bar and various public employer organizations.
