Morley Swingle:



Swingle is a recognized expert in criminal law.  He wrote Search & Seizure Law in Missouri, a manual used to train judges, prosecutors, defense lawyers and law enforcement officers. He was appointed by the Missouri Supreme Court to serve on its Criminal Procedures Committee and was instrumental in helping write many pattern criminal jury instructions.  He has published more than twenty law journal articles and book chapters, most of which deal with criminal law.  He has taught more than 600 hours of continuing legal education for lawyers and judges.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

I have been in Parker since 1987. The second oldest and currently the largest Parker law firm. I have been involved in all types of local activities from coaching baseball for over 20 years, to participation in multiple civic and charitable organizations in the Parker area. I have been actively involved in the development and construction of the Old Town Parker area and the Victorian Park District designation by the town council.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

Baseball, hiking, Harley Davidsons, Touring, Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. I am a certified High School baseball coach by CHSAA and a member of the Cowboy Joe Club for the University of Wyoming

Yes: PARKER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL: CORNERSTONE AWARD WINNER (2008).The Board of Directors of the Parker Economic Development Council (PEDC) is pleased to announce that local attorney and real estate developer Jim Anest has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious Cornerstone Award for 2008. Mr. Anest will be formally recognized during the PEDC's Annual Cornerstone Award Luncheon on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at The Wildlife Experience in Parker. The Cornerstone Award was created in 1997 to honor leaders in the Parker community who have shown a commitment to help pioneer and nurture the growth and development of Parker. This award recognizes the highest level of civic and professional involvement in our community. Mr. Anest is a licensed Colorado Attorney who has practiced in the State of Colorado since 1987 and established Parker's prominent real estate, land use and business organization law firm, Anest & Brown, P.C., in 1989. He has also been actively involved in many local civic and community events and organizations over the years. As one of the three most senior actively practicing attorneys in Parker, he has had his law office located in the same location on Mainstreet since 1989. While in Colorado, Anest has been significantly involved in real estate, development, zoning and annexations throughout the Colorado Front Range, the Rocky Mountain Region and ventures in Parker, Colorado and Douglas & Elbert Counties. Mr. Anest is the Director of Operations of the Bridgeport Corporation which was founded in 1999 and in more recent years, he has utilized his real estate development background to invest in and help to revitalize Downtown Parker, specifically the redevelopment of the Historic Pikes Peak area with the construction of Victorian Peaks, Varsity Peaks, Victorian Park Centre and the Old Town Civic Centre.
