About James

James N. Wolfe received his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Wyoming. Judge Wolfe graduated from the University of Wyoming, College of Law in 1965 and began the private practice of law in Sheridan, Wyoming later that year.

Judge Wolfe was later appointed director of the Wyoming Crime Commission. He also served as the administrator of the Governor's Planning Committee on Criminal Justice. In 1985, he was appointed the sole district judge in the Fourth Judicial District in Sheridan. Judge Wolfe was responsible for all cases, including both the civil and criminal docket.

After serving as a judge for eight years, Judge Wolfe returned to the private practice of law in Cheyenne, Wyoming in 1993. Judge Wolfe also has been appointed as a hearing officer for various state agencies. He joined LRC in 2002, where he currently handles cases throughout the Rocky Mountain West.
