He has served as Public Defender in the Township of Piscataway, the Borough of Jamesburg and the City of New Brunswick and as a Municipal Prosecutor in the Township of East Brunswick, and the Borough of Helmetta and the Borough of Bradley Beach. He currently serves as the Municipal Prosecutor in the Borough of Deal and the Village of Loch Arbour.
He is a member of the New Jersey Association for Justice (formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers of America – New Jersey) and the New Jersey Bar Association. Mr. Shamy has served his community as a member of the Planning Board and Zoning Boards in the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach. a member of the Point Pleasant Beach Recreation Commission and as a Trustee of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Monmouth and Middlesex Counties.
His areas of practice concentration include Civil and Criminal Trials, Personal Injury Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Real Estate Transactions and Litigation and Appellate Practice.
