About Jason
Mr. Houdek was born in Geneva, Switzerland and came of age in Indianapolis, Indiana. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Science in 1998 from Purdue University where he studied Electrical Engineering and Biology. As an undergraduate, Mr. Houdek spent several summers as an intern for Motorola's Advanced Simulation and Modeling Design Group and Base Station Power Amplifier Design Group. Mr. Houdek received his J.D., cum laude, in 2001 from the Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington, where he was an Associate Editor of the Indiana Law Journal.
Mr. Houdek focuses his practice on intellectual property matters. He has experience in patent litigation, client counseling, and in drafting and prosecuting patent applications. Mr. Houdek's practice has spanned technologies such as clean diesel technologies, gas turbine engine technologies, control systems, cryptographic security, bio-data systems, medical devices, tissue engineering, and satellite television systems, among others. Mr. Houdek also has experience in trademark, copyright and trade secret matters, and in agreement and licensing practice.
