About Jason
Jason Melichar joined the firm as a partner in the Denver office in September 2009. Jason concentrates his practice in insurance coverage matters.
Jason has extensive experience representing large national and international companies in complex civil, commercial and insurance litigation, as well as insurance coverage matters. He has counseled and litigated numerous first party and third party coverage matters involving bad faith, business interruption, contamination, construction defects, employment practices, environmental, intellectual property disputes, products liability, toxic torts, property losses, punitive damages, commercial general liability and advertising liability. He frequently presents insurance programs on bad faith and business interruption to property and casualty adjusters.
Jason earned his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law (J.D., 1999), where he was a member of the Denver University Law Review and the Student Law Office. He earned his undergraduate degree from Purdue University (B.A., 1995), where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He also studied abroad at Rijks University in Leiden, the Netherlands, in international political science and law.
Jason is admitted to practice in Colorado, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He is also a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations.
