My wife and I founded the Not-For-Profit, Betty Cares, which supports caregivers of disabled, sick and injured children in local hospitals. We originally started at Miami Children's Hospital (now Nicklaus Children’s Hospital), and we've been able to help thousands of families from our projects. We provided laptops, cell phone charging stations, tablets, personal care items, food, and other items to support the parents and families who are taking care of their loved ones, and helped create the mobile pharmacy department at a local hospital to make it easier for families to get prescriptions filled when their child was discharged.
