Please describe a case(s) in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
Some of the most rewarding clients are those that I work with on estate planning who have preconceived ideas about what they need and fears for their financial future. It is extremely satisfying to fully explain the process and craft tailored options to clients’ individual needs so that they have peace of mind about their decisions.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should look for lawyers who have the utmost integrity, are good communicators, are responsive to the clients’ needs and will fight effectively for their rights. If an attorney will not personally communicate with the client from the very beginning, I would strongly advise that client to look for another law firm.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
I prefer to not do free phone consultations, much preferring to conduct the consultation in person. A client can get a much better sense of the attorney and vice versa in person than over the phone. Both the client and the attorney are more likely to ask more questions and communicate more fully in person. In a consultation, I can provide a general assessment of the case, how the law applies, how complex the case may or may not be, why we may or may not be the best option for the client, and cost and fee information.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
The client always comes first. A client will find that I am highly responsive, extremely committed, and am as concerned as he or she is about making sure that their money is being spent wisely in pursuing their objective.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Getting results and helping people solve problems while minimizing the stress in the process.

What are your other interests in addition to law?
I love to travel, to spend time with my wife and daughter, tennis, and cheering on the Razorbacks and Buckeyes.
