About Jeffrey

Jeff Ritter is one of the original partners of the firm.  He practices in the area of transactional law, with an emphasis in banking, commercial lending, commercial real estate and corporate organizations and acquisitions.  He has represented numerous national and regional lenders and institutional syndicated groups in connection with structured oil and gas, agricultural and commercial financings.

 

He has represented numerous financial institutions in initial financings and multi-party restructurings.  He currently represents a regional lender in its role as trustee of nationwide bond issues.

 

Mr. Ritter practiced corporate and securities law in Oklahoma City for ten years before moving to Amarillo in 1989.  He has extensive experience in public and private securities offerings, including oil and gas, real estate and other commercial ventures.  Mr. Ritter currently represents a major university in the review of the legal aspects of its endowment investment portfolio. He has handled securities arbitration matters and has served as an arbitrator on both New York and American Stock Exchange arbitration panels.

 

Mr. Ritter is a member of the Texas Association of Bank Counsel and is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Oklahoma Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Amarillo Bar Association.

 

Mr. Ritter received his B.S. degree in Accounting from Oklahoma State University in May 1976 and his J.D. degree from the University of Oklahoma in May 1979.  While in law school, he served as Editor of the Oklahoma Law Review.
