About Jeffrey

Jeffrey E. McGuinness works in the field of construction law, and has represented owners, contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in a broad range of construction related matters and disputes.

 

Mr. McGuinness has advised clients entering into design and construction contracts, and guided them through the construction process, including informal claims resolution.  He has also represented clients in mediation, arbitration, and in state and federal courts.  Mr. McGuinness' cases have included multi-million dollar, document intensive, issue intensive arbitration cases, contractor claims, mechanic's lien foreclosure actions, surety payment bond claims and construction accident claims.

 

Mr. McGuinness graduated from Williams College in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.  He earned his Juris Doctorate from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2002.  Mr. McGuinness is admitted to the Connecticut and New York State Bars, as well as the Connecticut Federal District Court.  He is a member of the Construction Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the University of Hartford Construction Institute and The Connecticut Builders Congress.
