JENNIFER L. McKOWN was born in Alexandria, Virginia, on February 26, 1974. Ms. McKown earned a B.A. degree in political science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1996. In 2000, Ms. McKown received her Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Alabama and her law degree from the University of Alabama School of Law. Ms. McKown received the Jerome A. Hoffman Student Leadership Award. She served on the Alabama Law & Psychology Review from 1998 to 2000 as Junior Editor and Editor-in-Chief, respectively. Ms. McKown was admitted to the Bar of the State of Alabama in 2000 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.

Before joining the firm in 2001, Ms. McKown served as a law clerk to the Honorable James P. Smith, 23rd Judicial Circuit of Alabama. She practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, nursing home neglect and abuse, and business litigation. She also handles the appellate practice on behalf of the law firm. Ms. McKown is currently a member of the Alabama Bar Association, the Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association, the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Inns of Court.
