Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

This year, I handled a step-parent adoption, which was especially rewarding. One of the parents had been battling cancer, and sought to ensure that the step-parent would have full legal rights to care for her son.

How did you build a successful practice?

I have built a successful practice by working hard, by building quality relationships with my clients, and with the local community, and by treating each case as if it is the most important.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

A client should look for a responsible, hard working lawyer, who works with opposing counsel to amicably settle a case but who is able fight hard in the courtroom if the case doesn't settle.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

It is crucial to hire a local attorney who is familiar with the procedures and practice in each individual county.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

During the initial phone consultation, we will review the current status of a divorce, custody, or support matter, and talk a bit about what the client should expect moving forward.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

It helps to be prepared with the current status of any legal proceedings, and to have copies of all documents already filed.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

I offer compassionate legal services. I treat each client as I would want to be treated if I were going through a divorce or custody.support matter.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

It is so rewarding to see clients move on to better lives!

What are your other interests in addition to law?

I enjoy travel.

Are you involved in your community?

I am very involved in my community. I am a coach at a local high school for a mock trial team, which competes in state-wide competitions. I provide reduced-fee legal services through the Legal Access Project of Montgomery County, and I provide free legal consultations through the Women's Resource Center in Wayne, PA.
