In 2013 I won a case before the Texas Supreme Court that protects tens of thousands of the most seriously injured Texans that were hurt at work, guaranteeing that their income benefits will not be cut off.
Licensed for twenty five years, Durkin started the firm was started in 1996 and over the last 18 years has served thousands of clients. We are familiar with both the attorneys and judges so we can help navigate a clients case through the legal system with minimum delay.
Litigation is very stressful, as well as being expensive and time consuming. In many cases the rigors of protracted litigation cause more harm than the underlying dispute, so we approach the cases in a very holistic fashion, encouraging clients to try not to focus all their energy on the case.
Our lawyers include an avid yogini (yes, I can literally bend over backwards to serve you), cyclist and hiker; a former cop and Navy man as well as a former prosecutor. We have personally experienced divorce, child custody disputes, and personal injury as well as the pains of probate, so we relate to our clients with empathy.
When calling our office about a case that already exists, please have your case number (including the county and court) or if there was a police report filed, please have the number. This information will facilitate the process.
For probate cases it is important to know all the marriages, divorces and children of the deceased as well as having some idea of their assets (did they own a home, a business, etc. )
The most important thing you need to know when dealing with our office is to tell us the truth. If we find out about prior charges or cases from the other side, it hurts our ability to help you.
