About Joe

Joe's practice is composed of transactional, regulatory and litigation aspects of Oil, Gas and Mineral Law.* He honed his skills in these areas while employed by the Austin office of a major international law firm. Joe completed his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas in 1987, majoring in Real Estate and Finance. He then enrolled in St. Mary's University Law School in San Antonio, Texas where he received his law degree in 1990. While at St. Mary's he was a member of the St. Mary's Law Journal and the American Inns of Court. He is licensed to practice in Texas and is a member of the Corpus Christi Bar Association and the Texas Bar, and is certified by the Board of Legal Specialization in Oil, Gas and Mineral Law.

Joe and his wife, Stephanie, are native Corpus Christians, and joining the firm allowed them to return home. They have two daughters, Catherine and Caitlyn. Joe and his family are members of the First United Methodist Church. He has served as president of the Corpus Christi Chapter of the University of Texas Longhorn Foundation and has participated in Leadership Corpus Christi. His hobbies include golf, fishing, hunting and traveling.
