John Claassen practices civil litigation in state and federal courts, primarily in Northern California. Prior to establishing his own firm, Mr. Claassen practiced civil litigation with leading national law firms, including New York-based Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meager & Flom, LLP and Silicon Valley-based Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, P.C. There, he came into his own defending companies in sophisticated consumer and securities fraud class-actions.

Mr. Claassen received a B.A. from the University of Iowa in 1992, an M.A. from St. John's College in 1995 and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1998. Mr. Claassen was Assistant Managing Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics. He was admitted to the California Bar in 2001 and the New York Bar in 1999. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Mr. Claassen is a member of the Alameda County Bar Association and numerous community associations, including the Oakland Sunrise Rotary Club, and Toastmasters International.
