About John
John M. Comiskey has extensive litigation experience in commercial, insurance and employment related litigation. John was previously an associate at Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker LLP and Rivkin Radler LLP, where he engaged in a wide range of litigation that included insurance coverage litigation and the defense of toxic torts claims, premises liability claims, construction site liability claims and legal malpractice claims. John also represented a leading manufacturer of kitchen and bathroom products, fixtures and accessories in products liability litigation and defended employers against employment discrimination and wrongful termination claims.
Additionally, John successfully represented a now-retired professional athlete in litigation involving a dispute over ownership of trophies and medals won during her career.
John is a member of the New York State Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. During law school, John interned at the Manhattan office of the New York State Attorney General in the Civil Rights Bureau.
For the past several years, John has served as a volunteer judge for several legal writing professors at Hofstra Law School critiquing oral arguments presented by law students taking the Appellate Advocacy class.
